About Me

Kia ora, Hello! I'm Julia Dawe, a registered psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board, with specialised training and experience in the area of hauora (health) and wellbeing.
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology (PgDipHealthPsych) and a Masters in Health Psychology (MHealthPsych, First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Victoria University of Wellington.
Most of my mahi has been in the Primary Healthcare space, working as both a Psychologist and Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP) in GP clinics across Auckland. I also have experience working in Secondary Healthcare settings, and in research as well as coordination roles.
Alongside Julia Dawe Psychology, I am currently working part-time as a HIP for a Māori-led Primary Health Organisation (PHO).
I am a mum, and outside of work you will usually find me adventuring around with my young family and dog, keeping active, and enjoying good coffee and food!
